I have been called a foreigner in one of my classes by one of my classmates. The class consists of 7 people and the professor. In that instant, they had the choice of siding with the person being attacked or remain silent and complicit. They did the latter.

In a world plagued by xenophobia, this type of derogatory labeling used on people perceived as foreigners can be very dangerous.
